Two women connected to fatal shooting in NOLA arrested, jailed in Marion County
SUMMARY: Two women, Mia Lynsay and Mariah Campbell, are in custody in Marion County for a fatal shooting on Bourbon Street, New Orleans. The incident occurred around 4 AM on Saturday in the 600 block. Lynsay is charged with second-degree murder, while Campbell faces charges as an accessory after the fact. Christopher Oats Jr., a 39-year-old from Florida, was identified as the victim. The suspects were arrested in Columbia and are awaiting extradition to Orleans Parish. A local business owner expressed concerns about violent incidents tarnishing New Orleans’ tourist-friendly reputation. New Orleans Police thanked Marion County and Columbia authorities for their assistance.
