Two inmates escape from Mississippi detention center

SUMMARY: Two inmates, 24-year-old Tyrekennel Collins and 18-year-old Dezarrious Johnson, escaped from the Claiborne County Detention Center in Mississippi early Friday morning. Collins, accused of killing his cousin in Copiah County, and Johnson were being held for charges in Copiah and Jefferson counties, respectively. The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office reported the escape occurred around 2:20 a.m. on July 5. Both inmates are considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the Claiborne County Sheriff's Office immediately.
