Two injured in Jones County house fire
SUMMARY: Two people were injured in a house fire in Jones County, Mississippi on January 21. The fire occurred at a home on Indian Springs Road in Laurel around 4:00 a.m. The flames had spread to the front yard and the side of the home by the time firefighters arrived. One resident was sleeping when his heater went off, and he found flames in the living room. He was able to escape through a back bedroom window and help two other residents escape through their bedroom window. Two of the residents sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital. Two vehicles were also damaged in the fire.

Former President Jimmy Carter dies at 100 years old
