TV personality ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ assisting in search of escaped DeSoto County inmate

Murder suspect arrested following manhunt in Harrison County
SUMMARY: A manhunt in Harrison County concluded with the arrest of Bricen John Rivers, charged with one count of murder. Deputies responded to Wolf River Cemetery, where they found Rivers running into the woods. A deceased woman, 22-year-old Lauren Johansen of Gulfport, was found in the vehicle Rivers fled from. Johansen, reported missing July 2, attended school in Hattiesburg. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the search, ultimately locating Rivers and arresting him. He is held at Harrison County Adult Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.

Police thwart Smith County man’s murder-for-hire plot
SUMMARY: A Smith County man, Randall Hutchinson, was arrested last Sunday for his involvement in a murder-for-hire plot targeting two individuals. Engineer charged with obstruction of justice following 2017 plane crash that killed 16 military members
