Tupelo police make arrest in connection to hit-and-run incident

SUMMARY: Tupelo police have arrested Willie B. Ware of Saltillo for leaving the scene of an accident after a mother and child were hit by a vehicle while crossing North Gloster Street. The driver fled the scene, but Ware was arrested shortly after. His bond was set at $25,000. Police responded to the incident on Saturday night and found the victims had been struck by the vehicle. Mississippians prepare to help Hurricane Helene victims
