Tupelo Police looking for answers after recent shootings

SUMMARY: Tupelo’s police chief is seeking community assistance in solving two recent shootings that occurred within 48 hours in different parts of the city. The first incident took place early Saturday morning near Elvis Presley’s birthplace, where two men fired shots, hitting two homes and two parked cars. The second shooting happened Sunday morning on Tedford Street, where a man fired at vehicles and fled the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident. Chief John Quaka urges residents with surveillance footage to share it with the Tupelo Police Department to aid in the investigation.

Gunfire in the All-America City prompts the police chief to ask for the public’s help in solving not one but two recent shootings.
