Tupelo JROTC participate in 9/11 tribute

SUMMARY: Members of Tupelo High School’s Junior ROTC program paid tribute to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by holding a minute of silence at 9:45 a.m. They were joined by students, staff, and 91 cadets. On the 22nd anniversary of the attacks, the Junior ROTC members raised and then lowered the national flag to half-staff. The program aims to educate young individuals about patriotism, nationalism, and being responsible citizens of the United States. The program’s director, Johnson, mentioned plans to continue this tradition for future years.

On Monday, members of the Tupelo High School JROTC participated in a special tribute in memory of those affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
