Truck driver killed in fiery crash

SUMMARY: An 18-wheeler accident resulted in the driver’s death, his body discovered after an overnight search. Police Chief Otha Brown reported that witnesses indicated the truck struck the interstate, flipped over, and landed between two highways. Video footage shows the truck fully engulfed in flames when authorities arrived around 9 PM. The scene on Peace Street was initially blocked off but has since reopened. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, with fire crews managing the aftermath, which included scattered boxes of Tidy Cat litter from the truck’s cargo. Further investigation into the crash is underway.
