Tropical wave shows potential for development near Florida by weekend

Published

www.youtube.com – FOX 35 Orlando – 2024-07-29 22:18:44

SUMMARY: Central Florida is being monitored for potential tropical weather development this weekend, with a 50% chance of a system forming from August 3rd to 5th. Currently, dust and wind shear are inhibiting development, but conditions may improve later. Models suggest that any tropical storm, possibly named Debbie, would likely remain offshore. While there’s uncertainty regarding the track and intensity, a significant hurricane impact is not anticipated. This system may signal an active period for tropical weather in the coming weeks. Residents are advised to stay updated as conditions evolve.

SUMMARY: Charles Owusu Aseku, struggling with a keloid on his neck, had traveled extensively for treatment until he participated in Ghana’s first 3D telemedicine trial. The initiative, powered by Microsoft’s research team, allows remote consultations using a 3D model of the patient captured in a van equipped with advanced cameras and lighting. Multiple doctors from around the world assess the patient, offering diverse opinions. This technology addresses the scarcity of specialist doctors in Africa and provides patients in remote areas with expert consultations. Despite challenges like unreliable internet, the trial could improve access to medical care across the continent.
