Tropical Storm Gordon forms in the Atlantic

SUMMARY: Conditions have calmed significantly at the Causeway compared to yesterday’s strong winds and waves. Post-tropical Cyclone Francine is dissipating, with only minor showers affecting parts of the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys and sporadic rain moving towards Florida and Georgia. In the Gulf, no development is expected in the next week. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring two areas with a low chance of development: one off the eastern coast (30%) and another at the Lesser Antilles (20%). Tropical Storm Gordon is currently moving away with no threat to the region. Minor flooding alerts remain in effect in select areas.

Expect mostly sunny conditions over the next few days. We have small chances for rain, but most of us should stay dry. We also have our next named storm, Tropical Storm Gordon. This storm poses no threat to Louisiana.
