Trial to begin for 2 white Mississippi men charged with shooting at Black FedEx driver
SUMMARY: Two white men in Mississippi are set to go on trial for attempting to murder a Black FedEx driver. Brandon and Gregory Case were indicted in November on charges of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy, and shooting into the vehicle of D’Monterrio Gibson. In January 2022, Gibson, who was wearing a FedEx uniform and driving an unmarked van, dropped off a package and noticed a white pickup truck pulling away from another house. As Gibson left, the pickup driver tried to cut him off, and a second man with a gun fired at the van. The chase ended near Brookhaven.
