New vehicle inspection laws in Texas
SUMMARY: Starting tomorrow, several new laws in Texas will take effect, notably the elimination of vehicle inspections for most drivers. While traditional vehicle inspections are no longer required, a $7.50 registration fee remains applicable. AAA emphasizes the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety. Additionally, other new laws concerning privacy and property taxes will also be implemented, with the legislature returning to Austin on the 14th to introduce further legislation.
