Tracking the tropics and who's likeliest to be impacted
SUMMARY: Meteorologists are closely monitoring an area of disturbed weather in the tropics, which is now partnering with a tropical wave. The National Hurricane Center indicates a 60% chance of development, particularly affecting the Bahamas and possibly Florida, while the Gulf of Mexico remains at low risk. Current conditions show warm sea temperatures favorable for storm formation, although dry air from Saharan dust is hindering development. Despite this, the system may move into more conducive environments, suggesting a medium chance for tropical storm formation in the near future.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie tracks a system forecast to have a medium chance, 60%, of development over the next 3-7 days, examining where the system is now and what the conditions are out ahead of it that are more favorable to support development and finally where the likeliest track of that system will take.

First Gordon Plaza house to be demolished to build a community solar farm
SUMMARY: Demolition crews are set to begin work at Gordon Plaza, where the first home will be knocked down to create a solar energy farm. The site, which was once the Agriculture Street landfill, has faced significant controversy since its 1981 development due to toxic sludge containing lead and other carcinogens contaminating homes. Homeowners previously received millions in buyouts. The demolition marks the start of a two-year process to design and construct the facility, allowing residents to purchase access to the solar farm at a low cost, ultimately providing discounts on their electricity bills.
Officials say the process to design and build the facility could take about two years
