Tracking storms this evening, a possible stormy day Friday, and fewer storms next week

SUMMARY: Severe storms are affecting the North and South Shore regions, particularly between Tangipahoa and Washington Parish, with the National Weather Service issuing weather statements for wind gusts exceeding 40 mph and heavy rainfall. The tropical weather forecast shows limited activity in the Gulf and Caribbean, though humidity is expected to cause scattered storms over the next few days. Temperatures have reached highs near 94°F, with muggy conditions persisting. Tomorrow features a risk of localized flooding due to storms, with temperatures around 88°F, while high temperatures may reach 90°F during the weekend, with gradually decreasing rain chances next week.
