SUMMARY: Florida is preparing for Hurricane Milton, with Disney World closing its theme parks. Concerns remain about debris left from Hurricane Helen, which poses hazards during high winds. Milton is currently a Category 5 hurricane with winds of 160 mph, expected to make landfall tonight. Officials project it may weaken to a Category 4 and later a Category 1 as it crosses Florida. Coastal areas face tropical storm warnings, while the Atlanta metro area will experience clear weather. High pressure is keeping conditions stable there, with temperatures anticipated to reach around 80°F by Sunday before cooling again next week.
Winds could reach 165 mph. —
Milton underwent incredible rapid intensification on Monday, reaching peak winds of 180 mph.
Although wind speeds are not as high as when Milton was at peak, it will remain an incredibly dangerous hurricane at landfall late Wednesday into early Thursday.

SUMMARY: Republican Brian Jack is the sole newcomer to Georgia’s U.S. House, succeeding amid the re-election of all 13 incumbents. He aims to address illegal immigration, crime, and economic issues while voicing strong support for entrepreneurship.
