SUMMARY: WDSU’s weather update covers various events, including the Bayou Classic, Thanksgiving, and the upcoming Turkey Day race. A weak front is expected, bringing minor sprinkles tonight and cooler temperatures tomorrow. A second front anticipated by Wednesday could significantly affect Thanksgiving weather, possibly bringing rain or cooler air. Travel looks manageable nationally, except in Denver where snow is forecasted. Thanksgiving may see scattered showers and a chance of thunderstorms, with temperatures warming to around 75°F. The following days will bring much colder conditions and wind, especially for events like the Bayou Classic and the Saints game.

Meteorologist Devon Lucie has the timing, chance of rain where you are, risk for possible strong storms, and how it will affect temperatures that day, then focuses on the much colder air rushing in through the rest of the long holiday weekend showing you how cold your coldest mornings will be, how chilly the days end up, and when the first widespread freeze of the season is likeliest, then sprinkles in specific forecasts for a number of events over the holiday stretch, while finishing up with your seven day forecast.

Morning Forecast – Tuesday, Nov. 26th

Published

www.youtube.com – KTVE – 2024-11-26 10:00:51

SUMMARY: Meteorologist Chase Ward forecasts cool, clear weather this morning, with temperatures in the lower 40s. The day will stay in the 50s with plenty of sunshine. Winds will remain light, and high pressure will keep conditions clear through the day. By tomorrow, temperatures will warm into the mid-70s before a cold front arrives late Wednesday, bringing the chance of patchy showers and possibly a rumble of thunder for Thanksgiving morning. Afterward, temperatures will drop, with highs in the mid-50s and lows possibly reaching the 20s by early next week. The upcoming days will be much cooler.

It is a lot cooler this morning compared to yesterday. A post-frontal airmass is now in place with high pressure to the northwest keeping the winds out of that direction. Temperatures will trend seasonal today before climbing back above average tomorrow. Clouds are expected to increase with warm moist air returning through tomorrow afternoon. A front will arrive late Wednesday which will initiate some patchy to scattered showers into early Thanksgiving morning. Temperatures will then get very cold by the weekend reaching to near and below freezing by Sunday night.

SUMMARY: Neighbors in the Florville area have raised concerns about undrinkable water from a private company’s wells. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality found that CSWR, the company in charge, did not implement the filtration changes they claimed. Residents of the Arrowhead subdivision report the water being either bitter or overly chlorinated. While CSWR added automatic flushers to reduce sediment, they also removed the previous filtration system in 2021, replacing it with a different system. However, residents want the original filtration system reinstated, claiming it produced cleaner water. CSWR has not yet provided a solution.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality says the private well company, CSWR, did not make a filtration change it claims it made to water wells in the Floresville area. The company tells KSAT it’s a misunderstanding.
