Indiana officer rescues missing boy with autism from neighbor's pool
SUMMARY: In Indiana, an officer rescued a missing toddler who had wandered into a pool, as captured on body camera footage. Hearing the boy’s cries, the officer found the three-year-old floating on his back two houses away. The child’s parents believe his previous swimming lessons helped him stay afloat. The parents reported that the boy accessed the pool through an opening in the fence and plan to install a more secure fence to prevent similar incidents in the future. The rescue brought immense relief to the family.
The boy’s dad said little Aziel loves water. He always puts his son on his back in the pool so that might be why the 3-year-old knew what to do when he fell in.
