TN men ordered to pay $10K for illegally harvesting fish in MS
SUMMARY: Two Tennessee men have been fined and ordered to pay restitution for illegally harvesting fish from a lake in Mississippi. Jian Wu Huang and Qiu M Huang pled guilty to taking more than the daily bag limit of crappie earlier this year. The men caught 141 more fish than allowed, using oversized hooks and exceeding the maximum number of hooks. Each man has been fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $4,275 in restitution to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. They are also prohibited from fishing and banned from Corps of Engineers property in the Northern District of Mississippi.
