Symptoms include resting tremors, shuffling gait, stiffness, and difficulties with daily tasks. While head injuries may increase athletes’ risk for Parkinson’s, most cases are idiopathic. There’s no cure, and treatments mainly involve medications and therapies to manage symptoms. Athletes, particularly older males, are at higher risk, but Parkinson’s affects a broad range of individuals.
