Thursday 10 PM Tropical Update: Watching Invest 94L and Tropical Depression Seven

SUMMARY: Although we are done with Hurricane Francine, hurricane season continues, and we are monitoring other potential storms, particularly one developing off the east coast that may emerge in the next 3 to 7 days. Additionally, Invest 94 has been initiated for a small area with low development probability, primarily to run models. It’s expected to move north of the islands. Furthermore, there is Tropical Depression 7, which long-range models show will likely remain over the Atlantic. The next named storm after Francine will be Gordon.

Chief meteorologist Chris Franklin says Invest 94-L has a low chance of development. Tropical Depression Seven is staying out in the Atlantic.
