Three arrested in Adams County for allegedly trafficking Roxicodone
SUMMARY: Adams County deputies arrested three men—Arthur Grayson, Quentin Pollard, and Alphonse Lewis—on July 3, 2024, while they exchanged 652 Roxicodone pills containing fentanyl. The arrests occurred at Lower Woodville Road and Grove Acres. Authorities confiscated $2,727 and two trucks. Additionally, a search warrant at Grayson's home resulted in the seizure of vehicles, a Zosi DVR, and $283. This is the third instance of Grayson's arrest for trafficking Roxicodone. Sheriff Patten highlighted the dangers of these non-pharmaceutical pills, which have a high profit margin and a street value of $19,560.

Drier and calm weekend ahead – Home – WCBI TV

Beryl is expected to weaken into a tropical depression as it moves inland, passing near the area by mid-week.

Hattiesburg man charged with making bomb threat against Smith County business
SUMMARY: A Hattiesburg man, Tobias Smith, was arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat against Georgia Pacific Plywood in Smith County, Mississippi. The threat, received via text on July 5, led to the evacuation of employees. Smith, 27, was apprehended at the scene and charged with one count of terroristic threats. Before employees returned, bomb dogs searched the site for explosives. Smith is currently held at the Smith County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Smith County Sheriff's Office.

Fourth of July events bring people together this weekend
