Third-Party Manager wants to be transparent with Jacksonians
SUMMARY: Jackson residents met with Interim Third-Party Manager Ted Henifin to discuss issues related to the city’s water system. The meeting addressed concerns about high water bills, payment details, updates on the water plant, and safe drinking water. Henifin assured residents that efforts are being made to fix the billing system by the end of the year. However, some residents expressed frustration and skepticism, demanding action rather than promises. Jackson City Councilman Vernon Hartley acknowledged that regaining public trust would take time. Residents expressed a desire for more information on how to prevent water shut-offs and when conditions would improve. They were advised to contact JXN Water with any water-related issues.
