The Preserve at Meridian hosted its first annual senior prom
SUMMARY: The Preserve at Meridian hosted their first annual senior prom, allowing residents, some of whom missed their high school proms, to celebrate with food, drinks, and music. Wanda Campbell initiated the idea after residents discussed their missed prom experiences. Executive Director Janie Brown emphasized the event’s purpose, especially for Memory Care residents, to provide a sense of purpose and enjoyment. Months of planning included acquiring dresses from thrift stores and donations, giving residents a shopping experience and a chance to dress up. The event was a memorable celebration of life, with many residents eagerly anticipating next year’s prom.

Hattiesburg Salvation Army opens 'Red Kettle Campaign' Friday
