The Humane Society of South Mississippi is having an adoption special
Tomorrow, a counselor from the Humane Society will be ready to help you pick out the right pet to take home during the shelter’s special adoption event.
The special running will include your new pet to get microchipped and tagged for only $15. The Humane Society will be waiving the adoption fee that usually runs around $50 to $100. The shelter is currently housing 374 animals, which is over their capacity limit.
The process for adoption usually takes at least 45 minutes to complete and you’ll need an ID and be at least 18-years-old.

84% of Mississippi 3rd graders pass reading assessment for 2023-24 school year
