The heat is on… But not much longer
SUMMARY: Chief Meteorologist Jay Cardosi reported a record high of 102 degrees in Louisville, the hottest day in over 12 years. The area is experiencing its 45th day of temperatures over 90 degrees this summer, with another hot day expected tomorrow, likely reaching 101 degrees. Spotty showers are possible this evening, but most will remain dry. A cold front is anticipated to bring cooler, drier air over the Labor Day weekend, providing relief from the heat. As temperatures drop into the 80s, minor rain chances will exist during outdoor events, with favorable weather expected to follow.
Chief meteorologist Jay Cardosi talks about more record heat tomorrow followed by a gradual cool-down this holiday weekend.
