President of the NIVA Mississippi Chapter, Arden Barnett, has been in talks with city leaders to address the issue and is confident that it will be resolved before big events such as the Swan Lake ballet and Kevin Hart. The deputy director of Human and Cultural Services mentioned that a replacement elevator will cost between two to three million dollars. In the meantime, measures are being put in place to help mediate the problems until the elevator is fixed. City officials are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Tupelo waiting on Target to make decision on new store
