Texas oil and natural gas industry continues to add jobs | Texas

Grapevine police bust multimillion-dollar crime ring targeting warehouses
SUMMARY: In Grapevine, police announced the arrest of seven men involved in a multi-million dollar theft operation that targeted warehouses across North Texas. The investigation began in May after a theft of nearly half a million dollars in Rayban sunglasses and VR headsets. Using surveillance footage, drones, and tracking license plates, police identified the group’s patterns and connections to other burglaries in neighboring cities. The suspects are linked to an estimated $10 million in stolen goods and face felony charges for organized criminal activity. Police believe they have captured all involved and are not seeking additional suspects.
In May, Grapevine police say the thieves hit a warehouse and stole half a million dollars worth of Ray-Ban sunglasses and VR headsets. In total, police believe the group stole $10 million worth of merchandise across several heists.

Southwest plane struck by gunfire in Dallas | FOX 7 Austin
SUMMARY: A North Texas family is returning home after their Southwest Airlines flight was struck by gunfire shortly after takeoff from Indiana. Although no one on board was injured, the family was unnerved to learn about the incident, which they discovered from another passenger after landing. The bullet hit the right side of the plane near the cockpit, leading flight crews to return to the gate for passenger safety. Dallas Police are investigating whether the shooting was random, and no arrests have been made. Passengers received travel vouchers for future flights. The family expressed they would have reconsidered their travel plans if informed earlier.

Texas family speaks out: Southwest plane shot at before taking off
