Texas officers interdict human, drug smugglers through Operation Lone Star | Texas
SUMMARY: Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers are actively combating human and drug smuggling through Operation Lone Star, initiated by Governor Greg Abbott. Recent high-speed pursuits led to the arrest of smugglers, including one identified as Jaime Gonzalez, who was caught transporting ten illegal immigrants, including two children, in his vehicle. Additionally, a 17-year-old smuggler also attempted to evade capture but was arrested. In separate traffic stops, DPS seized over 175 pounds of methamphetamine worth $5.7 million and arrested several illegal immigrants in Cameron County. Since the operation’s inception, more than 525,300 illegal border crossers have been apprehended.

Austin family’s life turned upside down after gallons of sewage backed up into her home | FOX 7 Aust

National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington now open to the public
