Snow begins falling in DFW Metroplex
SUMMARY: School districts in the area are canceling classes due to heavy snowfall. Many decided on closures yesterday, including the largest districts, Dallas and Fort Worth ISD. A reporter in Collin County noted significant snowfall, prompting him and a photographer to build a snowman. Despite school closures, roads remain busy as parents head to work, though conditions are becoming slick. The area has prepared with salt and brine mixtures on roadways, but caution is still advised, especially on overpasses and bridges, as more snow continues to fall. Communication among districts has been vital for coordinating closures.
We’re now getting lots of reports of sleet and some snow across the DFW Metroplex. FOX 4 reporter Payton May is in McKinney where enough snow has fallen to make a (very) tiny snowman.

Energy experts weigh in on Texas’ power grid sustainability compared to 2021
SUMMARY: In Houston, rain is expected to impact commutes, but icy conditions are not anticipated. Energy experts in Texas, like Doug Luan, reassure that grid improvements will prevent widespread outages.
