Tesla's self-driving system is under investigation | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: ‘s full self-driving feature is under federal investigation reports of at least four crashes, a fatal incident involving a pedestrian. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) noted these incidents occurred in low visibility conditions. Despite Tesla stating the autopilot and self-driving features require driver supervision, this inquiry will assess their performance in reduced visibility and investigate similar crashes. The probe affects over 2 million Tesla vehicles. This investigation shortly after Elon Musk unveiled the Tesla Cybercab, highlighting the challenges of launching autonomous vehicles without standard driving controls. Fake dentist from Katy performed root canal on victim, Houston police say

Bond set for man accused of killing 1-month-old twins last year

Texas DPS: Over 443,000 criminal noncitizens booked in Texas jails | Texas

SUMMARY: A by the Department of Public Safety reveals that noncitizens, those illegally in the country, have been charged and convicted of a range of crimes in Texas over the past 13 years. The report highlights over 443,000 bookings, with 314,000 of those charged with more than 546,000 offenses, including assault and drug offenses, resulting in over 200,000 convictions. Additionally, over 32,000 noncitizens were , with significant additional charges reported. The data aims to crimes that occurred due to the presence of illegal immigrants and emphasizes the role of the DHS’s Secure Communities program in local enforcement.
