Terry 14-year-old killed in shooting

SUMMARY: A 20-year-old man, Jaylin Powell, has been in connection to the shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Terry, Mississippi. The shooting occurred on Eugene Street and the victim was taken to the of Mississippi Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Powell has been charged with second-degree murder and the gun used in the shooting has been recovered. The motive for the shooting is currently under investigation, and the Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the case.

Aluminum Dynamics provides jobs for the community

The facility will encompass 2.3 million square feet and is already creating hundreds of , with over 1,400 contractors and nearly 400 employees on site . Whigham projects the facility will begin shipping metal by next year and anticipates that, by summer 2025, it will employ around 750 people, creating a total of about 1,000 jobs, positions within the community.
