Tennessee in-person votes higher than 2020 but absentee ballots down | Tennessee
SUMMARY: In Tennessee, early voting is seeing increased in-person participation compared to the pandemic year of 2020, with 1,801,162 ballots castโup from 1,766,988. However, overall turnout is down due to a decline in absentee votes, which dropped from 195,939 in 2020 to 74,131 this year. The total ballots cast so far stands at 1,875,298, down from 1,962,927 in 2020. Despite smooth operations and positive voter experiences, incidents of campaign sign vandalism have been reported, with arrests made in Wilson County. Both Republican and Democratic signs were affected. Early voting ends Thursday.
