Teenager killed in Gulfport
SUMMARY: Gulfport, a 16-year-old was found dead after a shooting took place in Gulfport this morning. The Gulfport Police discovered the body of Zaelyn Braxton on Kenwood Drive after being called to the scene for a shooting. Braxton was dead when they arrived, and no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is urged to call Gulfport P-D or Coast Crimestoppers.

The body of 16-year-old Zaelyn Braxton was found on Kenwood rive in Gulfport early Monday morning. Police say he suffered from gunshot wounds.

Phase 2 of Bayou Lacroix Boat Launch improvement project breaks ground
SUMMARY: Phase 2 of the Bayou Lacroix Boat Launch improvement project has commenced in Bay St. Louis, following the successful completion of the initial boat ramp a few years ago. This phase includes extending the bulkhead and installing a new kayak launch, enhancing access for kayakers and anglers. The $150,000 project is funded by the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust, prompted by the need for amenities after Hurricane Katrina. The boat launch, frequently utilized by residents, will facilitate easier access to the Bay of St. Louis and the Jordan River, expected to be completed within four weeks, just in time for summer.
