Teen accused of killing her mother has first court appearance
SUMMARY: A teenage girl accused of shooting and killing her mother and injuring her stepfather appeared in court for a 30-day review in Rankin County. The Sheriff reported that the girl's attorneys filed two motions, one to exclude the media from the courtroom and another to reduce her bond. However, because the motions were not filed in time, no action was taken. The girl has been given a one million dollar bond. At the same time, the Public Works Department stated that they cannot provide a response tonight to an unknown issue.
