SUMMARY: The Tarrant Area Food Bank has partnered with Amazon to enhance its food donation efforts for those in need, particularly homebound or disabled individuals. This partnership, highlighted by a $75,000 donation from Amazon, supports the food bank’s home delivery program, which had been at risk of discontinuation. With this funding, the food bank can utilize contract workers to deliver meals directly to residents. The initiative is expected to provide 375,000 meals, addressing a critical need and perfectly aligning with the holiday spirit of giving. Volunteers believe this collaboration is timely and essential for the community.
The teamwork between Amazon and the food bank means a massive delivery network is now available for food donations.
