SUMMARY: Hurricane Milton is expected to transition across Florida from the West Coast to the East Coast, maintaining hurricane force winds. Jacksonville Beach is currently under a tropical storm and storm surge warning. To the south, from Ponto V Beach to Indian River, hurricane warnings are in effect. The First Coast could experience a surge of 3 to 5 feet, with risks extending to Georgia. If this surge coincides with high tide and heavy rainfall, flooding may occur, particularly along the St. John River in Jacksonville. Meteorologist J. Carfagno from The Weather Channel reports on these conditions.
