Suspect shot after trying to hit Jackson police officer with car: MBI
SUMMARY: Agents from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are looking into an officer-involved shooting in Jackson that occurred on September 8. According to Bailey Martin from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, officers responded to a call for service when a suspect tried to hit an officer with a vehicle. The officer fired their weapon, injuring the suspect, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the officer was not seriously harmed. The MBI will share the investigation’s findings with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office upon completion.
