Suspect identified in murder of 10-year-old boy
SUMMARY: 10-year-old Al’Darius Nesbitt was shot and killed while driving with his brother in Friars Point, Mississippi. The suspect, Demetrice Henderson, is wanted for the murder and is being sought by the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting occurred on Christmas Eve when Al’Darius and his brother were followed by several vehicles, and shots were fired at their car. Al’Darius was hit twice and later died in a Clarksdale hospital. The family is calling for Henderson to turn himself in, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

SUMMARY: Cristian Mitchel Mondragon Gonzales, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder related to a 2018 homicide on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Following a fight at a party on September 23, 2018, Gonzales pursued the victim, convincing him to go for a ride. He then shot the victim multiple times after they exited the vehicle. The victim was found the next morning. Gonzales faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and is scheduled for sentencing on February 12, 2025. The case was investigated by the FBI, Natchez Trace Parkway police, and Ridgeland police.
