Survey: Majority of Jewish students don’t feel safe on US college campus | National
SUMMARY: A recent survey by Alums for Campus Fairness reveals that 83% of Jewish students believe antisemitism is a significant issue on college campuses, with reported incidents increasing by nearly 400% following the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Many students report feeling unsafe, with 80% avoiding certain campus areas and a significant number receiving threats or witnessing antisemitic remarks from faculty. The climate of fear has led students to conceal their Jewish identities. High-profile incidents, coupled with limited institutional responses, have intensified concerns about safety and expression for Jewish and pro-Israel students across U.S. universities.

Help for Houston drivers tricked into paying high parking fees
SUMMARY: A KPRC2 investigation reveals that Metropolis, a California-based parking company managing several garages in Houston, faces a proposed class action lawsuit for allegedly overcharging drivers. Complaints have arisen about excessive fees, such as a reported charge of $262 for a $5 parking session. Customers have described this as a “bait and switch” tactic amid a system driven by AI with no human oversight. The lawsuit seeks to stop what is considered an illegal scheme, while Metropolis claims that complaints represent less than 1% of transactions. The situation continues to frustrate drivers who face unexpected charges.
Last August, KPRC 2 exposed numerous complaints about Metropolis, specifically related to a garage on Franklin in downtown Houston. Now, a Houston law firm has filed a lawsuit to stop the company from charging unfair parking fees. According to Alex Brown from The Lanier Law Firm, “We expect this is happening every day at every one of these centers.”
