Surfside Beach meatball competition cooks up funds for autism awareness

SUMMARY: This weekend, the Best of the Beach Meatball Challenge will feature an exciting competition among restaurants, food trucks, caterers, and home cooks to determine the best meatballs. ABC 15’s Manin is live at Grumpy Mustache in Murrells Inlet, showcasing meatball preparation. One competitor shares their family recipe, passed down through generations, blending Russian and Italian influences. Made from beef and pork with red pepper flakes, the simple yet flavorful recipe has garnered popularity. The competition, benefiting the Champion Autism Network, takes place Saturday at the UPON parking lot on Surfside Drive, with tickets available on-site.

The 6th Annual Best of the Beach Balls Meatball Challenge is this weekend in Surfside Beach.
