The Kentucky-born artist, known for his country-psychedelic fusion, declared he would release albums only under his new name after five under his birthname. His first album as Johnny Blue Skies, Passage Du Desire, will release on July 12 via High Top Mountain Records. He previously trialed the Johnny Blue Skies name on a collaboration with Diplo and Dove Cameron. His 30-stop “Why Not? Tour” kicks off Aug. 11 in San Francisco and reaches Mississippi on Oct. 4, with tickets available from June 14.

Mississippi players ink free agent deals after not being selected in NFL Draft

Mississippi State, despite no draft picks, had wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi and linebacker Stone Blanton sign UDFA deals. Mississippi State parts ways with head baseball coach Chris Lemonis amid underwhelming campaign
