Study: Mississippi is the most dangerous state to drive in

SUMMARY: A recent study by Forbes Advisor found Mississippi to be the most dangerous state for driving in the U.S. It scored poorly across 13 metrics, including high rates of fatal car accidents, with 67.82 deaths per 100,000 licensed drivers. The state also has the highest percentage of uninsured drivers (29.4%) and a significant number of residents witnessing unsafe driving behaviors. Additionally, Mississippi ranks fourth for road rage incidents and has many roads in poor condition, with only 70% deemed acceptable. Following Mississippi in danger levels are Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. The study coincides with increased Labor Day traffic.

Bricen Rivers pleads not guilty to murder of ex-girlfriend Lauren Johansen

SUMMARY: Bricen Rivers has pleaded not guilty to capital murder, vehicle theft, and tampering with evidence related to the death of his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Johansen, whose body was found in a car trunk in Mississippi.
