Storms possible during Halloween
SUMMARY: The weather forecast indicates potential rain and storms in the Middle East, while at home, Halloween may be affected by similar conditions. Rain is expected during trick-or-treating hours, so parents are advised to prepare with umbrellas and ponchos. Current temperatures range from the low to mid-80s, with breezy conditions and a slight chance of stray showers. Rain and thunderstorms are likely on Halloween, particularly in the late afternoon and evening. The tropics remain quiet except for a system in the Caribbean, which has low initial development chances but may increase in the coming days. The upcoming week will continue with breezy weather and 80-degree temperatures.

Turkey frying safety tips
SUMMARY: In Southeast Louisiana, fried turkeys are a Thanksgiving tradition, but safety is crucial. To ensure a safe deep-frying experience, it’s important to use a completely thawed turkey to avoid oil splattering, which can lead to fires. A general guideline for thawing is one day for every 4 to 5 pounds of turkey; for instance, a 16-pound turkey requires four days to fully thaw. Additionally, always turn off the fryer before lowering the turkey and never leave it unattended during the cooking process.
Fried turkey’s are a longtime staple on thanksgiving tables- especially here in Louisiana.
