Stokes calls for Medgar Evers Library to reopen
SUMMARY: The Medgar Evers Library in Jackson, Mississippi has been closed for several months and Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes is urging for it to be reopened and for the air conditioning to be fixed. As the last living WWII veteran of the Andrew Lawhon Detachment of the Marine Corps League, Brown emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of previous generations and continuing to serve as engaged citizens.
