Symptoms of hypothermia include shivering, drowsiness, confusion, and in infants and young children, bright red, cold skin. Shelton advises taking immediate action to raise body temperature if these symptoms occur, such as wrapping in warm clothes, taking a hot bath, or drinking hot beverages.
