State Representative Jeffrey Hulum speaks out on gun violence in Gulfport

SUMMARY: Dave Elliot discusses a gun violence crisis in Gulfport with state representative Jeffrey Hullum. The crisis is highlighted by four shootings within 24 hours. Hullum stresses the importance of accountability, both for individuals and within homes, and criticizes the leniency towards businesses operating late in high-crime areas. He suggests shutting down dangerous places like Emerald Pines and creating better housing. Hullum underscores the problem of external property owners profiting without caring for local residents. Although addressing fatherlessness was suggested as a solution, Hullum believes strong community and family support can help. He calls for better police resources and community cooperation to tackle violence effectively.
