Ex-boyfriend killed after breaking into Petal woman’s home, police say
SUMMARY: Breaking news out of Ped: police are investigating an early morning homicide. Chief Matthew Hyatt reported that officers responded to a call from West 10th Avenue at 3:14 AM Friday. A woman reported her ex-boyfriend was banging on her door before forcing his way in. A second man in the home fired a gun, striking the intruder. The man was rushed to a local hospital but later died. Names are withheld pending family notification, and no arrests have been made.

Fireworks exploded Thursday evening in Smithville

Grind to Glory: TCPS to rely on new crop of seniors

Last season, TCPS finished 8-4, exiting in the second playoff round. This season, the team aims to build on last year's success, starting against East Union Urchins on August 30th.
