State Games of Mississippi Hosts Several Events in the Queen City

SUMMARY: Happy Saturday! It’s been another bustling weekend in the Queen City with State Games activities. Despite no beaches, beach volleyball thrived as teams of four competed at John Moss volleyball courts. This year, some newcomers participated, with the “Beach Boms” enjoying the sport despite the heat. The “Gritty Reboot” won the adult division. The event has a 20-year history and continues strong. Meanwhile, cornhole has gained popularity, marking its fourth year as an official State Games event. Participants of all ages competed in various divisions. Carrie Benson hopes the sport continues to grow. Additionally, 20 high school soccer teams, including JV and varsity squads, competed at the Northeast Soccer Complex.
