Fulton Family Pharmacy recognizes National Drug Takeback Day
SUMMARY: Fulton Pharmacy hosted a drug take-back event, allowing residents to return expired or unnecessary prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to the Family Pharmacy. Attended by two officers and a DEA agent, the event aimed to educate the community on the importance of properly disposing of medications, rather than flushing them down the drain or toilet. One officer emphasized that prescription drugs, often overlooked in discussions about drug abuse, can be just as dangerous as illegal narcotics. However, the event did not accept any needles.
