Starkville man facing charges after pursuit

SUMMARY: A high-speed pursuit in Starkville resulted in Eric Robertson’s arrest and several felony charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on a law officer, failure to stop at an officer’s signal, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. The chase began after a traffic stop and led deputies through various parts of the county, ending near Montgomery Street in Starkville. Officers used spike strips to halt the vehicle, and although Robertson attempted to flee on foot, he was soon apprehended. He is currently being held in Oktibbeha County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.
